Sara Thorn is an artist, painter and designer whose work draws from the realms of dreams, mythology, ancient civilisations and imagined worlds.
Working in oil, watercolour and mixed media, she explores the space between magical realism and surrealism, weaving together themes such as goddess archetypes, sacred architecture, wild animals and primordial nature.

Original oil paintings , watercolours are developed through a thoughtful process of composition, research and intuition, combined with a sense of channeling that allows ancient memories of patterning, symbols, scenes and landscapes to emerge and form their own visual language.
The Artistic Vision
Sara’s work is inspired by a fascination with worlds that exist beyond ordinary life.
Ancient civilisations, goddess traditions, mythology, sacred architecture, patterning and primordial nature are recurring threads throughout her work. Some pieces draw upon historical traditions, while others emerge entirely from the imagination.
Rather than recreating the past, Sara uses these visual languages as doorways into something timeless, creating works that move between the familiar and the fantastical, the earthly and the mythic.
The Artist
As an artist, designer and teacher, Sara’s creative practice has developed through a lifelong exploration of art, mythology, symbolism and ancient spiritual traditions.
Alongside her visual practice, Sara has studied, practised and taught traditional Tantra Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, meditation and embodied spiritual practices for many years. These traditions form an integral part of her ongoing spiritual practice, grounded in dedication, discipline and sustained study, with an emphasis on developing wisdom through direct experience.
This commitment to practice runs parallel to her artistic life, where patience, discipline, intuition and sustained attention are equally fundamental to the creative process. Together, these paths inform her knowledge of symbolism, consciousness and the sacred, while continuing to shape her wider creative vision.
For Sara, creativity is a doorway into self-growth, opening pathways into imagination, self-discovery and the deeper layers of human experience.
